Programs

Youth Soccer League – Little Kickers (U4):

Entry level program for players ages 3-4 who have not played soccer and for approved players age 5 who do not want to start league playing as a U6 player. Little Kickers is for our youngest soccer players to learn the basic skills of soccer. We will go over dribbling, passing, kicking and not to use our hands! Each session will include 30 minutes of instruction. YSL will provide instruction, but parents are encouraged to help. There will be no games at this age level but there will be time allotted at the end of practice sessions for players to use what they have been taught. Trained coaches will be provided.

Youth Soccer League (U6 – U8):

Sessions will include learning a skill, practicing that skill and incorporating them into game and pressure situations. Parent volunteer coaches will instruct players to use proper techniques for the correct way to dribble, pass and kick. Practice session guidance will be provided to coaches in the form of an on-line curriculum. Teams will play league games on Saturdays.

Youth Soccer League – Academy (U10):

The MSA Academy was developed specifically to bridge the gap from the recreational soccer player to a competitive soccer player learning more aspects of the game. The goal of the YSL is to get players introduced to soccer and to develop basic soccer skills. The Academy will take the basic skills and develop them further to become a more skilled player and take the next step in learning the game. Players will play league games in-town but will also travel to a couple of competitive out-of-town tournaments. All coaches will be nationally certified through the US Youth Soccer Association to provide the best training and coaching on and off the field.

Competitive Soccer League (U12-U19):

The MSA provides competitive training and games for the age divisions of U12-U16 in three different seasons (Fall, Winter and Spring) throughout the year! Challenge your skills within the MSA Competitive soccer, by taking part in tournaments across the state of South Dakota and play against some of the best players and/or teams in the state. There is also the option to travel to tournaments in neighboring states to further challenge our players to become the best they can be and continue the passion for the sport of soccer!  All coaches will be nationally certified through the US Youth Soccer Association to provide the best training and coaching on and off the field. Coaches will be encouraged to gain more knowledge by attending coaching education courses throughout the year.
